Rehab Center Construction News!
We are extremely excited to share this news! We are building our OWN Health, Wellness and Rehabilitation Center in Artibonite, Haiti! This has been years in the making, but now is becoming a reality. We have secured the land! We built the foundation! The walls are next. Join us in making this project a reality!
Why? Up until now, we have been located in a rented space for our rehabilitation and fitness programs. The owner no longer wishes to rent the building and we need to move out by December 2020. Having our own land means we can have a permanent structure. We can continue to provide our current programs for this city of 300,000 who previously had NO access to rehabilitation services. NONE! Can you imagine have a child with cerebral palsy or your spouse having a stroke with no rehabilitation services available?
Goals. We can build as we grow. The land is close to our current clinic. It is close to the government hospital. It is close to the people who need our care. The land is large so we can add on services… Health… Wellness… Nutrition…Prevention Programs… there are many opportunities available! In addition to our fitness programs, we would love to have a playground for all children to have a place to come, be active and play. We would love to expand our nutrition program, through education, vitamins, medika mamba (highly nutritious peanut butter), moringa, etc… We would love to connect more with the other rehabilitation programs in the other corners of the country to share resources, best practices, expertise, etc. Perhaps form a Rehab Network. We can do it! It is possible!
Progress. All of this starts with a permanent structure, which provides us the infrastructure for the future. See our progress below.

The Foundation is Complete
Our deadline to be out of our current rented space is coming fast. We have to move out by December 15! Please help us enter our next phase of construction so we can keep our programs going! We need a section of the structure competed to hold all our equipment in a secure area and continue our current programs.
Donate HERE so we can build the floor, walls and roof of the first part of the building!
Thank you for supporting this important work!
Sincerely, the entire team at Community Rehab Project!
